Pierce the Veil is an American post-hardcore rock band originating from San Diego, California. Formed in 2006, the group was founded by brothers Vic and Mike Fuentes following the breakup of their previous band, Before Today, which emerged from the local San Diego punk scene. In 2007, the lineup expanded when Jaime Preciado joined on bass and Tony Perry joined as lead guitarist. Together, the band members deliver post-hardcore rock performances rooted in their San Diego musical origins.
