About Event
A three-hour rug-tufting workshop in a small studio — all materials provided, a working tufting gun in your hands, and a finished rug to take home at the end. The Instagram-friendly version of the maker-class format, designed for first-timers with no prior craft experience.
Rug tufting is a relatively new home-craft technique that uses a powered gun to punch yarn through a backing fabric. The studio walks you through the basics: drawing your design, threading the gun, the rhythm of the technique, and the finishing work that turns a rough tufted piece into a finished rug. By the end of the session you have a real rug — typically around 8 by 10 inches or larger — in your chosen colors and design.
The instructor handles the technical complexity (loading, troubleshooting, finishing) so you focus on the design and the making. A natural fit for younger maker-curious travelers, couples wanting a hands-on session together, and creative groups looking for a memorable activity.
