Wednesday Rueda de Casino — Beginners

Wednesdays 6:00 to 7:00 PM at The East Bay Community Space in North Oakland. Rueda de casino is Cuban salsa danced in a wheel, with a caller — the whole circle switches partners on command, which makes it the most sociable and least intimidating way into Latin dance. You never dance with the same person for long, and nobody is watching just you. Salsa Vale Todo is co-directed by Nicholas Van Eyck and Serena Wong, and rueda is what they are known for in the Bay Area. $20 drop-in, or $60 for the full four-week series — the series starts on the first Wednesday of each month.
