Cleveland State Vikings
The Cleveland State Vikings, also known as the Vikes, are the intercollegiate athletic teams representing Cleveland State University. Competing in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division I level since 1972, the university is a full member of the Horizon League. Additionally, Cleveland State competes as an associate member of the Northeast Conference for men's lacrosse and the Central Collegiate Fencing Conference for fencing. Originally known as the Fenn Foxes when the school was Fenn College from 1929 to 1965, the athletic program has a long history of collegiate sports competition.
