UT Arlington Mavericks

The UT Arlington Mavericks are the intercollegiate athletic teams representing the University of Texas at Arlington, located in Arlington, Texas. The Mavericks currently compete in NCAA Division I as members of the Western Athletic Conference (WAC), fielding teams across 15 varsity sports. The university's athletic program is scheduled to expand to 16 sports in the 2026/27 academic year with the introduction of women's flag football. This expansion coincides with the conference's rebranding to the United Athletic Conference (UAC), where the Mavericks will continue their membership as a non-football sponsor.
