Mico is a Japanese singer who performs pop and jazz music. Originally from Ikejiri, Setagaya, Tokyo, she grew up listening to these genres in areas like Tachikawa. As a live performer, she is notable as the first Japanese singer to appear at the Newport Jazz Festival, and she has made eight appearances on the NHK New Year's Eve Kōhaku Uta Gassen. Beyond her musical performances, her career includes commercial endorsements for brands such as Nescafé, Nippon Oil, Daikin Industries, Fujiya, Renown, and Sapporo Beer.
