Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain

Founded in 1985 by George Hinchliffe and Kitty Lux, the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain is a British musical ensemble featuring ukuleles ranging from soprano to bass registers. The band performs tongue-in-cheek yet musically faithful covers of popular songs from a wide variety of genres, often incorporating genre twists or seamlessly weaving different tracks together. Introduced with light-hearted deadpan humour, the performance parodies classical ensembles, with members wearing semi-formal evening dress and sitting behind music stands.
