Wyoming Cowgirls
The Wyoming Cowgirls represent the University of Wyoming, located in Laramie, in intercollegiate sports. As a member of the Mountain West Conference, the university competes in NCAA Division I, fielding 17 NCAA-sanctioned athletic teams. While most of these teams compete within the Mountain West Conference, two of the university's programs compete in other conferences for sports not sponsored by their primary conference. Specifically, the men's swimming and diving team competes in the Western Athletic Conference, while the wrestling team competes in the Big 12 Conference.
