Coastal Athletic Association

The Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) is a US collegiate athletic conference affiliated with the NCAA's Division I. Formerly known as the ECAC South Conference and the Colonial Athletic Association, its full members are located in East Coast states ranging from Massachusetts to South Carolina. Most of these member institutions are public universities. Headquartered in Richmond, the conference was historically a Southern organization until adding four Northeastern schools after the turn of the 21st century to establish geographic balance.
