Nebraska Cornhuskers

The Nebraska Cornhuskers, often abbreviated as the Huskers, are the intercollegiate athletic teams representing the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. Competing in NCAA Division I, the university fields twenty-four varsity teams, consisting of ten men's and fourteen women's teams across sixteen sports. The Cornhuskers, commonly referred to as the "Big Red," feature two official mascots, Herbie Husker and Lil' Red. While twenty-one of these teams participate in the Big Ten Conference, the beach volleyball, bowling, and rifle teams compete as independents or affiliate members of other conferences.
