Gary Puckett & The Union Gap
Gary Puckett & The Union Gap was an American pop rock band active in the late 1960s, formed by Gary Puckett, Gary Withem, Dwight Bement, Kerry Chater, and Paul Wheatbread. Signed to Columbia Records by Jerry Fuller, the group achieved major hits with songs such as "Woman, Woman", "Young Girl", "Lady Willpower", and "Over You". Distinctively, members wore costumes styled after Union Army uniforms from the American Civil War. After growing dissatisfied with performing outside material, the band stopped working with Fuller and eventually disbanded, leading Puckett to pursue solo projects.
