Tosca

Tosca is an opera in three acts featuring an Italian libretto. Based on a French-language dramatic play, this melodramatic production is set in Rome during a period when the Kingdom of Naples's control of the city is threatened by an invasion of Italy. The performance contains depictions of torture, murder, and suicide, alongside lyrical arias. Musically, the opera is structured as a through-composed work, weaving arias, recitative, choruses, and other elements into a seamless whole.
