Fuel is an American rock band formed in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, in 1993 by Carl Bell, Brett Scallions, Jody Abbott, Erik Avakian, and Jeff Abercrombie. After releasing independent music, the group signed with 550 Music and Epic Records to release their 1998 debut album, Sunburn, supported by the hit single Shimmer. Their second album, Something Like Human, included the singles Hemorrhage and Bad Day. The band's third album, 2003's Natural Selection, was the last to feature Bell and Scallions together.
