Scott Miller

Scott Miller is an American video game designer, programmer, and entrepreneur who founded Apogee Software in 1987. Beginning with the MS-DOS release of the Kroz series that same year, Miller pioneered a shareware distribution model where the first game in a trilogy was given away freely, offering players the chance to purchase the remaining two episodes. This strategy became the standard distribution method for Apogee Software and was later adopted by competing companies, including Epic MegaGames.
