Nazareth are a Scottish hard rock band formed in Dunfermline in 1968. Beginning in the early 1970s, the group achieved numerous hit singles and albums across Canada, the United Kingdom, and several European countries. Their international popularity expanded further, including into the United States, following the release of their 1975 album Hair of the Dog, which featured the hit title track alongside a cover of the ballad "Love Hurts". The band has continued to record music and tour internationally for more than 50 years.
