The B-52s are an American rock band from Athens, Georgia. The group evokes a thrift-shop aesthetic in their musical work, drawing influence from 1950s and 1960s pop music, rock-and-roll, and camp or kitsch culture. The band integrates various auxiliary musicians to assist with their live performances. Their music sometimes incorporates call-and-response-style vocals.
