Conference of the Birds
The Conference of the Birds is a production based on the Persian poem of the same name by Sufi poet Farid ud-Din Attar. The source material has inspired several stage adaptations across different performance mediums. Notable adaptations include a 1979 stage play written by Peter Brook and Jean-Claude Carrière, as well as multiple 2018 productions: a stage play by Sholeh Wolpé, a musical adaptation created by Falk Richter, and a dance performance mounted by ANIKAYA Dance Theater.
