Paradise Lost
Paradise Lost is a production based on the epic poem in blank verse by English poet John Milton. The work concerns the biblical story of the fall of man, focusing on the temptation of Adam and Eve by the fallen angel Satan and their expulsion from the Garden of Eden. Published in 1667, the first version consists of ten books with over ten thousand lines of verse. A second edition with twelve books followed in 1674. Considered Milton's masterpiece, it helped solidify his reputation as one of the greatest English poets.
