Karen Mills
Karen Gordon Mills is an American businessperson, author, and former government official who served as the 23rd administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration. Nominated by President-elect Barack Obama in December 2008, she was unanimously confirmed by the Senate in April 2009. During her tenure as administrator, the position was elevated to Cabinet-level rank, expanding her authority on policy decisions and granting her inclusion in presidential cabinet meetings. She announced her resignation in February 2013 and officially left the post in September 2013.
