Billets pour Devo
À propos
Devo is an American new wave band from Akron, Ohio. The band's music and visual presentation, which includes stage shows and costumes, mingle kitsch science fiction themes, deadpan surrealist humor, and mordantly satirical social commentary. Their work is conceptually rooted in the tongue-in-cheek social theory of "de-evolution." Devo's sound merges rock music with electronics, spanning experimental and dissonant art punk to synth-pop and mainstream styles. This influential musical approach has impacted subsequent movements, including new wave, industrial, and alternative rock, as well as the "devo-core" internet microgenre.
