Dancing At Lughnasa is a 1990 play by dramatist Brian Friel. Set in August 1936 in the fictional town of Ballybeg, located in County Donegal, Ireland, the story is a memory play told from the point of view of its narrator, the adult Michael Evans. In the production, Michael recounts the summer spent at his aunts' cottage when he was seven years old.
