The Shining
The Shining is an American opera in two acts and an epilogue, based on the 1977 novel by Stephen King. The production features music by composer Paul Moravec and a libretto by Mark Campbell. It was created as part of the "New Works Initiative" of Minnesota Opera. The opera received its world premiere on May 7, 2016, at the Ordway Music Theater in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Audiences attending a performance can see an operatic adaptation of King's work.
