Herbie Hancock
Herbert Jeffrey Hancock is an American jazz musician, bandleader, and composer born in 1940. He began his career performing in trumpeter Donald Byrd's group before joining the Miles Davis Quintet, where he helped redefine the jazz rhythm section and shape the post-bop sound. During the 1970s, Hancock experimented with jazz fusion, funk, and electro styles using electronics and synthesizers. This era included the release of Head Hunters, which became one of his most influential and best-known albums.
