Sobre

Missa Solemnis is a production based on a genre of sacred music that came into use in the classical period. Translating from Latin as Solemn Mass, and known in French as Messe solennelle, it consists of fulsome settings of the Christian Mass Ordinary. Audiences attending a performance will hear festively scored music that renders the text extensively. In contrast to the shorter and more modest Missa brevis form, this production features an extended musical setting of the mass.
