The Tennessee Smokies, also known as the Knoxville Smokies, are a Minor League Baseball team based in Knoxville, Tennessee. Competing in the Southern League, the team serves as the Double-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs. From 2000 to 2024, the team played at Smokies Stadium in the Knoxville suburb of Kodak, Tennessee, under the name Tennessee Smokies, before moving into Covenant Health Park in Knoxville in 2025. The team's nickname references the nearby Great Smoky Mountains, where mountains are frequently shrouded in a hazy mist that resembles smoke rising above the forest.
