The Audience
The Audience is a play written by British playwright and screenwriter Peter Morgan. The production centres on the weekly meetings, known as audiences, held between Queen Elizabeth II and her prime ministers. The original West End production premiered at the Gielgud Theatre in 2013. The play later opened on Broadway in 2015 starring Mirren, followed by a West End revival in London in 2015 that starred Kristin Scott Thomas in the lead role.
