The Old Man and The Sea
The Old Man and the Sea is a 1958 American adventure drama film production adapted from Ernest Hemingway's 1952 novella of the same name. Directed by John Sturges, the film stars Spencer Tracy in the title role, with a screenplay adapted by Peter Viertel. The film's musical score earned composer Dimitri Tiomkin an Academy Award for Best Original Score. Additionally, the production received Academy Award nominations for Best Color Cinematography and Best Actor for Spencer Tracy's performance.
