Soulja Boy
Soulja Boy, born DeAndre Cortez Way, is an American rapper and record producer. He rose to prominence following the self-release of his 2007 debut single, "Crank That", which spent seven non-consecutive weeks at the top of the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. Following a commercial re-release of the track through Collipark Music and Interscope Records, he released the follow-up single "Soulja Girl" and his debut studio album, Souljaboytellem.com, in 2007. Despite receiving generally negative critical reception, the album reached number four on the US Billboard 200 and spawned the single "Yahhh!".
