Poi Dog Pondering
Poi Dog Pondering is an American musical group noted for its cross-pollination of diverse genres, including acoustic and electronic music. Founded in Hawaii in 1984 by Frank Orrall, the project initially began as a solo endeavor before forming a lineup in 1986. Following a North American busking tour, the band settled in Austin, Texas, to record two EPs and two full-length albums. Since relocating to Chicago in 1992, the group has integrated orchestral arrangements, soul, and house music into their acoustic rock style.
