The Residents
The Residents are an American art collective, music, and visual arts group known for their avant-garde and multimedia works. Active for over half a century since their first official release, Santa Dog, in 1972, the group has released more than 60 albums, numerous music videos, short films, and multimedia projects. They have completed seven major world tours, scored multiple films, and pioneered the use of CD-ROM technology, earning several awards for their multimedia creations. Additionally, the group founded the avant-garde record label Ralph Records in 1972.
