Todd Anthony Shaw, known professionally as Too Short, is an American rapper and a pioneer of West Coast hip-hop. Emerging in the late 1980s as one of the genre's first recognized acts, his music features lyrics focused on drug culture, street survival, pimping, and promiscuity. This thematic style is highlighted in his popular singles "Blow the Whistle" and "The Ghetto." He is also notable as one of the few artists to have worked with both Tupac Shakur and the Notorious B.I.G. during their careers.
