The Producers

The Producers is a musical comedy that tells the story of a theatrical producer and his mild-mannered accountant. Together, they scheme to get rich by fraudulently overselling interests in a Broadway musical designed to fail, but complications arise when the show becomes a surprise hit. The humor of the production draws on exaggerated accents, caricatures of Jews, gay people, and Nazis, as well as many show business in-jokes. The show has spawned national tours in the US and UK, alongside many productions worldwide.
