Nash is a British surrealist painter and war artist, as well as a photographer, writer, and designer of applied art. Known for playing a key role in the development of modernism in English art, the artist focuses on landscape painting. Nash draws inspiration from landscapes with elements of ancient history, including burial mounds, Iron Age hill forts, and standing stones. The artist's work features everyday objects placed within these landscapes to provide them with a new identity and symbolism, shifting from a decorative style to an abstract and surreal approach.
