Ezra Collective
Ezra Collective is a British jazz quintet consisting of drummer and bandleader Femi Koleoso, bassist TJ Koleoso, keyboardist Joe Armon-Jones, trumpeter Ife Ogunjobi, and tenor saxophonist James Mollison. The musicians met at the Tomorrow's Warriors jazz youth programme before forming the group. Their sound fuses elements of Afrobeat, calypso, reggae, hip-hop, soul, and jazz. The band frequently collaborates with London-based jazz musicians such as Nubya Garcia and Moses Boyd. Ezra Collective won the 2023 Mercury Music Prize and became the first jazz band to win Group of the Year at the Brit Awards 2025.
