Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer

Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer is a production of the 1964 stop motion Christmas animated television special. Originally produced by Videocraft International, Ltd., the special first aired on the NBC network in the United States. The project was completed in 18 months, with its concept developed in New York City, animation crafted in Japan, music recorded in England, and voice talent sourced primarily from Canada. The work is based on the 1949 Johnny Marks song, which itself stemmed from a 1939 poem by Robert L. May.
