Brandon Wheat Kings

The Brandon Wheat Kings are a Canadian major junior ice hockey team based in Brandon, Manitoba. Founded in 1936, the team spent three decades playing principally in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League before joining the Western Hockey League ahead of the 1967–68 season. Today, the team competes in the East Division of the Eastern Conference, hosting games at the Keystone Centre. Historically, the Wheat Kings hold the best regular-season record in Western Hockey League history from their 1978–79 season, during which they won the first of their three league championships.
