Michelle Collins
Michelle Collins is an American track and field athlete known for competing in long sprints. Born in 1971, she became the 2003 World Indoor Champion at 200 metres. Her time of 22.18 from that competition was never ratified as an American record. Her career ended after she was linked to the BALCO scandal and admitted to using the performance-enhancing drugs THG and EPO, despite never testing positive. Consequently, her results were retroactively disqualified. Following legal wrangling with USADA, she dropped a threatened appeal, and her suspension was reduced to a four-year ban.
