Wolfman Jack
Robert Weston Smith, known as Wolfman Jack, was an American disc jockey and music television host who lived from 1938 to 1995. Active for over three decades, he was famous for his distinctive gravelly voice. He credited this signature raspy sound with his success, noting that the vocal quality helped keep meat and potatoes on the table for Wolfman and Wolfwoman. He also attributed his famous raspy sound to the help of a couple of shots of whiskey.
