Hannah Jones

Hannah Maria Jones (1784–1854) was a British novelist whose literary career is most notably defined by her successful trilogy about gypsies. This series of books included the titles The Gypsy Mother, published in 1835, and The Gypsy Girl. Although these works achieved success, it is believed that Jones did not receive the financial compensation she deserved for her writing. During this period, other authors, including Ellen Pickering, published similar works that found success in the literary market.
