Reza, also known as Reza Abbasi or Agha Reza, was a Persian painter who lived from 1565 to 1635. He was the leading Persian miniaturist of the Isfahan School during the later Safavid period, spending most of his career working for Shah Abbas I. He is considered to be the last great master of the Persian miniature. His work is best known for single miniatures created for muraqqa, or albums, especially those depicting single figures of beautiful youths.
