HELLRIPPER

Hellripper is a one-man black and speed metal band formed in 2014 by Scottish musician James McBain. The project draws musical influence from black metal acts like Venom and Darkthrone, thrash metal bands such as Megadeth, Metallica, and Sabbat, and punk-oriented groups like Motörhead and Anti-Cimex. Lyrically, Hellripper focuses on themes of witchcraft, the Occult, and Satanism. Some songs also draw inspiration from historical events, such as the possession of Anneliese Michel in the song "Anneliese" and the Affair of the Poisons.
