La Roux
La Roux is an English synth-pop act formed in 2008 by singer Elly Jackson and record producer Ben Langmaid. The group achieved critical and commercial success with their self-titled debut album in 2009, which won a Grammy Award. This debut release produced hit singles including "In for the Kill" and "Bulletproof". Following this initial success, the duo's work on a follow-up album faced several challenges, including unsuccessful collaborations, two cancelled release dates, and reported conflict between the two creators.
