Suede

Suede are an English rock band formed in London in 1989 by singer Brett Anderson, guitarist Justine Frischmann, and bassist Mat Osman. Drawing musical influence from glam rock and post-punk, the group attracted early attention from the British music press, with Melody Maker labeling them "The Best New Band in Britain" in 1992. Their self-titled debut album reached number one on the UK Albums Chart, winning the Mercury Music Prize and helping to propel the Britpop era.
