Formula 1

Formula One (F1) is the highest class of worldwide racing for open-wheel, single-seater formula racing cars. Run by the Formula One Group and sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), this motorsport league consists of a series of races known as Grands Prix. These events take place globally on purpose-built circuits or closed street circuits. A points scoring system determines two annual World Championships for drivers and constructors. Each driver must hold a valid Super Licence, and races are held on Grade One tracks.
