Leo Kottke
Leo Kottke is an American acoustic guitarist and singer who resides in the Minneapolis area. He is known for a fingerpicking style that draws on blues, jazz, and folk music to create syncopated, polyphonic melodies. While focusing primarily on instrumental composition, Kottke also sings sporadically in an unconventional, expressive baritone. In his solo performances on six- and twelve-string guitars, he intersperses his musical selections with humorous and bizarre monologues.
