Art Basel Miami Beach is an annual satellite art festival of Art Basel, a privately owned and managed international series of art fairs. Originally starting in Basel, Switzerland, in 1970, the organization's flagship event is considered the largest and most prestigious fair in the contemporary and modern art market. As part of this global series, the Miami event serves as one of several international satellite fairs, alongside annual editions in Hong Kong, Paris, and Qatar.
