Ina Garten is an American television cook and author who hosts the Food Network program Barefoot Contessa. Formerly a staff member of the Office of Management and Budget, she began her culinary career with her gourmet food store, Barefoot Contessa. Garten has since expanded her activities to include magazine columns, a popular television show, and many best-selling cookbooks. Her dishes include Perfect Roast Chicken, Weeknight Bolognese, French Apple Tart, and a simplified version of beef bourguignon.
