Quintino
Quintino, associated with the Flemish painter Quentin Matsys (1466–1530), represents the Early Netherlandish painting tradition. Originally trained as an ironsmith in Leuven, the artist was active in Antwerp for over twenty years. Known for creating numerous works with religious roots and satirical tendencies, he is regarded as the founder of the Antwerp school of painting, which became the leading school in Flanders during the sixteenth century. His work introduced new techniques, motifs, and moralising subjects while maintaining a connection to traditional styles.
