Stevland Hardaway Morris, known professionally as Stevie Wonder, is an American and Ghanaian singer-songwriter, musician, composer, and record producer born in 1950. Widely regarded as one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century, he is recognized as a pioneer across genres such as R&B, pop, soul, gospel, funk, and jazz. In the 1970s, his use of synthesizers and electronic instruments reshaped contemporary R&B conventions. He also helped bring these genres into the album era by crafting cohesive, consistent, and socially conscious LPs featuring complex compositions.
