Blue Oyster Cult

Blue Öyster Cult is an American rock band formed in Stony Brook, New York, in 1967. Known for fusing hard rock with psychedelia, the band features occult, fantastical, and tongue-in-cheek lyrics that heavily influenced heavy metal music. Over their career, they have sold 25 million records worldwide, including 7 million in the United States. They achieved mainstream success and a cult following with classic rock radio staples such as "(Don't Fear) The Reaper," "Godzilla," and "Burnin' for You." The band was also an early adopter of music videos during the early days of MTV.
